At Grupo Lantero, the well-being and safety of people are fundamental to our activity. We firmly believe that all accidents are preventable and that nothing should be done without safety. To make this conviction a reality and for everyone to perceive its benefits, it is necessary to share it. Our Health and Safety Policy reflects this commitment and indicates the path to follow. Safety and health are part of our work: they are for us and depend on us.
The set of actions we develop to evolve towards a safety culture integrated with our operations is called ONE SAFETY. This homogeneous and flexible management standard is shared by all people and applicable in all our facilities, even outside the work environment.
Health and Safety Principles
- We believe that all accidents are preventable. They are not due to bad luck; they occur when a series of causes coincide, one of which triggers the accident.
- Identifying those causes in advance and communicating, controlling, or eliminating them is the right way to act. By doing so, all accidents are preventable.
- Anyone can suffer, cause, and prevent an accident. It is an individual responsibility, but one that we all share.
- For this reason, we believe that safety and health must be addressed collectively, recognizing and reinforcing positive actions and fostering self-critical capacity to identify those that can be improved.
- Our beliefs are strong, but we are aware that we do not know everything.
- There is nothing negative in acknowledging this; because those who believe they know everything—or who act as if they do—sooner or later stop progressing, become exposed, and fail.
- Safety and health require training and practice, observing and listening, checking and reflecting, even unlearning to learn again.
- We believe that the purpose of work is progress and that the purpose of progress is well-being.
- We believe in safe and healthy work environments, putting people first and thinking about both today and tomorrow.
